Cherokee County Chamber Happenings

2008 Fish Fry and Boat Show
The Cherokee County Chamber's 2008 Fish Fry and Boat Show was a big success. The weather was great for people to enjoy a tasty trout dinner and paddling in the river. The event was another networking opportunity for chamber members to bring awareness to the community about services and products available, and to showcase the wonderful recreational opportunities in Cherokee County.

This year's event was planned and executed by the chamber's Ambassador Roundtable chaired by Don Faircloth. Faircloth served as chef for the day, frying up the fresh mountain trout.

Be sure and look for announcements about the 2009 event!

BERRY CHAMBER BEAR
Rylee Jerez, 4, of Culberson stands next to the Cherokee County Chamber of Commerce's welcome bear, showing off a bucket of fun she won in the chamber's Name That Bear contest. The welcome bear's name tag reads "Berry The Chamber Bear." The bucket of fun was filled with amusement passes, cotton candy, a jump rope, Frisbee, kite, candy, and more, all donated by chamber members. Stop by the chamber to find out what's going on in the county where to shop, stay, dine and play. The Murphy Civitan Club hosted Chamber After Hours in April also celebrating Civitan Awareness Month.
